With all the work we’re doing at AstroLabs in the tech startup ecosystem, we noticed that digital marketing is one of the most important and in demand skill sets of the modern professional. Based on that, we designed a weeklong Digital Marketing Track to teach the important practical skills needed to market any business online, along with getting the attendees Google Certified in AdWords & Analytics.
As a way to help spread the Digital Marketing gospel across the region, our next stop on our tour was Jeddah, the second largest city in Saudi Arabia, home of Al Baik and possibly soon the world’s tallest building!
The workshop series was hosted at Badir Jeddah, a program developed by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, with coworking spaces across Saudi.
We had a great group of 25 people attend, with women leading the way making up 80% of the class!
Attendees were from companies such as IKEA Saudi Arabia, Bank Al Jazira and Delta Marketing Co., and regional startups like: Artisia, Rock Paper Scissor and Polisher. Here’s what a few of the attendees had to say:
